Produced by Michael Carpenter (2025 CMAA producer of the year) in Sydney, Kylie’s powerful new single will resonate to a worldwide audience with its endearing familiarity.
 

“You can walk down the main street, from one year to the next, sometimes it feels so different or it’s like you never left,” describes returning to your hometown that holds so many beautiful family memories.
 

It seemed like a very natural thing for Kylie and her sister, Jenny, to write a song together. They were sitting on their younger sister’s veranda in Bellingen, Northern NSW, that overlooks the Dorrigo mountains. As Kylie played some guitar chords, Jenny grabbed a notepad and started writing lyrics. The words flowed out very easily, and the stars aligned.
 

‘It’s Like You Never Left’ is due for release this September.
