Bellingen Says Goodnight.
'Bellingen Says Goodnight' was inspired by seeing the Dorrigo Mountains' 'Old Man Dreaming', or 'Ngali', as I turned off the Pacific Highway towards my hometown of Bellingen on Gumbaynggirr country.
Old dairy farms line the old Waterfall Way (Trunkroad 76) as you roll into Fernmount.
The river ambles gently by and sub tropical humidity clings to you in summer.
Flying foxes parade through the evening sky in search for fruit and the old Federal Hotel
comes to life at night with locals and travellers.

Bellingen Says Goodnight lyrics
written by Kylie Adams-Collier.
Riding on the highway
On a summer's day
I'm going home
The trees pass by me
And rivers
And mountains roads
In a valley far away
On a beautiful summer's day
And I'm goiong home
The cattle are calling
NIght is falling
The sun waves goodbye
And Bellingen says goodnight
Goodnight to the river's lullaby
The bats are out tonight
The hotel lights are on
And I'm going home.
