KYLIE RETURNS TO TAMWORTH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL. 

Kylie looks forward to returning to Tamworth Country Music Festival with her new album Little Stone. Dates will also be in the Official Guide. 

NEW ALBUM LITTLE STONE ALMOST READY!

Kylie's new album is almost ready! Kylie looks forward to releasing her album Little Stone on Kross Kut Records in the coming weeks. 

12 tracks of original material beautifully produced by award winning Lindsay Waddington, LIttle Stone looks set to launch Kylie's singing craeer even further. Stay tuned!!

CLARENCE VALLEY COUNTRY MUSTER GROWING EVERY YEAR. 

In October Kylie attended the Clarence Country Music Muster, performing in the walk ups, busking in Grafton, competing in the Hank Williams Competition and showcasing songs from her new album " Little Stone " with the Kross Kut Records Band on the main stage. She also serenaded the locals in the tractor shed at night !!  

The Clarence Valley Country Muster hosted by Wendy Gordon and Terry Gordon OAM was a great success with many attendees this year.  Among the artists performing were Peter Dawson, Bev Branson, Ken Lindsay, Lex K, Bob Howson, Owen Blundel, Lindsay Waddington, Reg Poole OAM , Terry Gordon OAM , Tania Kernaghan , Jett Williams and many more. 

The festival is getting bigger and bigger every year.

Next year Beccy Cole will be headlining. 


HOMETOWN GIG GOES WELL.

Doug Dekroo, Peter Dawson, Mark Thompson and Howlin' Norton joined Kylie for her hometown performance at the Little Red Kitchen. Radio presenters Elva Hynman, Andrew Kerr and Michael Daly were in the audience along with friends and family. 

KYLIE VISITS 2BBBFM IN HER HOMETOWN BELLINGEN.

Kylie visited Elva Hynman on her popular gospel show at 2BBBfm Bellingen on the 22nd October. Growing up in Bellingen, Kylie caught the same school bus as Elva's children and she has remained a good family friend and fan. 

KYLIE VISITS TANK FM IN KEMPSEY.

Kylie popped into Brenda's country program at Tank Fm in Kempsey while visiting the Slim Dusty Country Music Festival in October. Joined by country artist Peter Dawson, Kylie talked about her tours and sang songs from her "Sweet Dreams 'til Morning" album and her new album "Little Stone" accompanied by Peter on harp. Kylie was invited to host the Walk Ups at the Slim Dusty Country Music Festival which saw over 30 artists from all over Australia  perform on stage. Amos Morris put on a stella performance on the Wednesday of the Festival followed by more top Australian artists in the coming days including Kathyrn Jones, Steve Passfield , Slim Dusty family and many more. 

KYLIE MEETS THE PRESIDENT OF IRELAND. 

Kylie was invited to meet the president of Ireland, Micheal D Higgins on the 18th October. This media picture of Kylie  is with other descendants  about to present  flowers to the President of Ireland Michael D Higgins, The NSW premier, Gladys Berejiklian and the the NSW opposition Leader, Luke Foley. The Australian Monument to the Great Irish Famine Committee invited descendants of the Irish Orphan Girls to meet the President of Ireland. It was a very special morning. The Irish President was very friendly, worldly and most interested in meeting everyone. Kylie's great great grandmother, Mary Baker was an Irish Orphan Girl who immigrated to Australia to escape the Great Irish Famine. She was very brave to travel all the way over here by boat to start a new life. 

KEMPTON COUNTRY MUSIC MUSTER A SUCCESS.

Kylie recently met the King of Rock n Roll , Jade Hurley at the Kempton Country Music Muster, Tasmania. Hosting and performing at the event, Kylie also worked with a great line up of artists on the deck  of  a truck in Kempton Showground. Gina Timms, Bernard Bruce, Ian Burns were some of the other artists who appared on the day. 7Midfm and The Huntington Tavern sponsored and promoted the day. Kylie wishes to thank Leigh Blake for sponsoring her return airfare to Hobart. 

KYLIE WINS THE BEDGERABONG POET WRITER'S AWARD. 

Not only did Kylie perform and host at the Bedgerabong Country Music Campout , she won the Bedgerabong Poet Writer's Award. She also had the opportunity to perform " Waiting For Heaven to Rain" with country Star Justin Standley. Kylie wishes to thank the Forbes Country Music Club for their support. The festival went really well with all the artists receiving a good response from the campers. 


SPECIAL GUEST ON 97.1 VALLEY FM. 

Kylie joins Charmaine Pout on air on 97.1 Valley fm on Friday 6th October - 7am -10.00am  during the Bedgerabong Country Music Campout. 




BEDGERABONG COUNTRY MUSIC CAMPOUT.

Kylie looks forward to travelling to Bedgerabong Country Music Campout to join these fantastic artists.                                                                  

TWO YEARS ON NATIONAL RADIO.

Kylie celebrates two years hosting the national radio show  "Countryfolk Around Australia" on the Community Radio Network. Broadcasted around Australia via satellite, Kylie presents a three hour live program every Sunday morning from 6am EST. Kylie features mainly Australian independant country music artists inbetween her tours to regional centres. Georgie Cadwallader from Northside Radio fills in when Kylie is on tour. 


MICHEL ROSE ON KYLIE'S NEW ALBUM.

Kylie recorded her vocal tracks for "Little Stone" at Lindsay Waddington's  Kross Kut Records mid September. Pedal steel legend, Michel Rose was in town and Kylie was lucky enough to meet Michel and thank him after he recorded on her new album. 

BEDGERABONG GETTING CLOSER.

 Its on again Bedgerabong Country Music Campout, starting on the 3rd October to the 10th October 2017. This will be the 9th year of Forbes Country Music Club hosting the event. After having to cancel the 2016 event due to exccessive flooding to Forbes, Bedgerabong and surrounding towns, Bedgerabong Country Music Campout are hoping for a bigger and fun time in 2017. 

The featured artists for 2017 are
Justin Standley, Kylie Adams-Collier, Brian Letton, Ray Pratley & Samantha Bellamy, Johanna Hemera, Tom Maxwell, Allen Neils and a new brother and & sister group making a mark on the Country circuit known as Homegrown. The Old Time Dance Night will be supplied music by Country Keys & Strings.
The camping fee is $70 per person this year, but this includs camping & entertainment during the week, what ever day you coming to camp. Day rates are $15 per day. Children under 16 free.
There will be all the usual Poets Breakfast, Sports Person Day, Sunday Markets, Poets Competition and Sports Awards.
Plenty of camping area.
Lets make 2017 bigger and successful year !

SUCCESSFUL DAY FOR TASSY MUSTER:

The Kempton Country Music Muster was a success. Kylie wishes to thank John and Sandra Hay, Leigh Blake, Diana and Hugo Langley, Barry Kay and everyone from 97.1 Midfm for their ongoing support. 

Also a big thankyou to the Greg Gow band, The kitchen volunteers, The sound people and the Kempton RSL. The day hosted many walk up artists and Kylie as a special guest. 

TASSY MUSTER:

TASMANIAN TOUR JUST AROUND THE CORNER!

Kylie looks forward to returning to the midlands of Tasmania next week ( 28th & 29th July). She will be playing songs from her albums 

" Bellingen Says Goodnight", " Sweet Dreams 'til Morning " and previewing songs from her soon to be released album " Little Stone" , released through Kross Kut Records in January. 


Radio interest in Ballarat.

Kylie will be  talking to Robert Bath on 99.9 Voice fm at 11.10am, 5.7.17 to discuss the 75th Anniversary of the sinking of the Montevideo Maru,  "Montevideo Maru 1942" 

( released next year on Kross Kut Records) the Papua New Guinea Association of Australia , the recent services and tour to Papua New Guinea. and the " When the War Came" book launch..

Kylie's song was well recieved at the Rabaul & Montevideo Maru 75th Anniversary service in Rabaul and Australian War Memorial. Rabaul's Lord Mayor was many of the attending dignitaries who shook Kylie's hand and thanked  her at the Rabaul ceremony.  

Dr Brendan Nelson also enioyed Kylie's song at the Australian War memorial as did many others. Kylie hopes her song will bring more attention to the Montevideo tragedy upon her next album  release in January 2018. Kylie's fifth album entitled" Little Stone " is currently being recorded with award winning producer  LIndsay Waddington with Kross Kut Records. Kylie will be donating 50 cents from every hard copy album sold to the Papua New Guinea Association of Australia.

OZCMR INTERVIEW:

KYLIE TALKS TO MARK ECKEL ON OZCMR ABOUT THE RABAUL & MONTEVDEO MARU 75TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA:

On the 26th June, Kylie spoke with Mark Eckel about her experiences in Papua New Guinea. Kylie plans to contact Media soon with a press release. 


KYLIE TRAVELS TO PAPUA NEW GUINEA:

On June 19th Kylie will travel to Rabual. She has joined the Montevideo Maru Memorial 75th Anniversary tour which includes a service on the 22nd June. Kylie has been invited to sing her song "Montevideo Maru 1942" at the service which she has recently written in dedication to those who lost their lives in the war time tragedy.

Kylie's grandfather Harry Adams was a POW on the Montevideo Maru ship that was torpedoed under friendly fire during WW2.  She has also been invited to sing the National Anthem at St Martins Elementary School in Rabaul.  Kylie's father was born in Rabaul and she looks forward to learning more about her family history.   Kylie has also been invited to sing her song at the National War Memorial Montevideo Maru service on July 1st in Canberra.  Her song will be released with her album " Little Stone" early next year on Kross Kut Records.


KYLIE RETURNS FOR NULLA NULLA BUS TRIP. 

Kylie very much enjoyed her time at last year's Slim Dusty Country Music Festival. She was invited onto stage to perform with country legends Clelia Adams, Kathyrn Jones and Steve Passfield to sing Wildflowers. Kylie was also invited to perform on a bus to Nulla Nulla and performed on Slim Dusty's verandah. She volunteered to MC the Kempsey Country  Music Club walk ups at the festival and introduced over thirty acts during the day. Kylie also performed songs from her album Sweet Dreams 'til morning. Kylie looks forward to returning to Slim Dusty Country Music Festival this year and has been invited to perform on the Nulla Nulla bus trip again. 


IN THE KROSS KUT RECORDS STUDIO:

Kylie drove to the Gold Coast in Queensland early May  and on May 9th,10th & 11th recorded 12 original songs with Lindsay Waddington on Kross Kut Records . Kross Kut Records is very excited about having Kylie as a Kross Kut Records recording artist and Lindsay is looking forward to finding the right instruments to compliment Kylie's songs.  
Kylie's next album includes stories of travelling , the bush and Kylie's family history. Her new album will be released early next year.    http://www.krosskutrecords.com.au/

ANOTHER TAMWORTH ADVENTURE

Kylie was busy during the 2017 Tamworth Country Music Festival . She sang songs from her albums "Bellingen Says Goodnight" and " Sweet Dreams 'til Morning" as a special guest at Tamworth Songwriter Association Showcases, Bush Balladeer's Homestead spots and the ICMA showcase. Kylie was very honoured to have her song " Waiting For Heaven to Rain" make it to the Tamworth Songwriter's Association Salute Awards finals for Gospel Song of the Year. Kylie's song "Sweet Dreams 'til Morning" made it to the semi finals for the Tamworth Songwriters Association Salute Awards Gospel Song of the Year. 

Kylie sang at the Tudor Hotel with Wild Bill's band, was invited on to stage at the Oasis Hotel with Christina George and was invited to MC the Gold Medallion Awards. She was also invited on to stage to sing with Kathryn Jones and Steve Passfield and invited to sing with Clelia Adams on her show. Kylie couldn't walk down Peel St without buskers offering their spot to sing some songs and she was delighted to be asked to sign fan's hats a number of times. Kylie very much enjoyed the Kross Kut Records concert at the Capitol Theatre with Lindsay Waddington and the Kross Kut REcords artists and looks forward to launching her new album with Kross Kut records at the next Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2018.


KYLIE RETURNS TO POLEY'S PLACE:

Kylie visited Poley's Place over Easter, singing around campfires at night and meeting local Country Music Clubs:

Wine Country Music Association .

Kylie performed as an artist at last year's Poley's Place Hoedown Festivals at Easter & Labour Day Long Weekend 2016 and is pleased to announce that she will be returning as a booked performing artist at the Easter Poley's Place Hoedown Festival 2018. 

Kylie will have her new album for sale at the festival.

PITTWATER COUNTRY MUSIC RETURN:

Kylie enjoyed her return to Pittwater Country Music on Sunday 28th May. She sang traditional favourites such as 

" Dont Fence Me in" and 

" I Can't Help it"  and had the line Dancers up on the dance floor enjoying every minute! 

Kylie looks forward to returning to this popular event in the future. 

Pittwater Country Music hosts monthly concerts at Pittwater RSL on the last Sunday of the Month. Hosted by Geoff Williams , Rosalie Mackay leads the line dancing and the Pittwater Playboys do a great job backing country music artists.

Kylie plays at Pittwater Country Music This Saturday at Pittwater RSL with Kel-Anne Brandt, John Loveridge, Carl Sullivan, Pittwater Playboys and Rosalie Mackay Line Dancers!

SUCCESSFUL TASMANIAN TOUR FOR 97.1 MIDFM.

In February Kylie was invited to tour venues in Tasmania along with country artists Vanessa Bourne and Jane Kellaway to raise money for  97.1 Midfm , The Voice of the Midlands.  

Kylie  made some new life  long friendships with radio presenters and fans. 97.1 Midfm  organised concerts in Oatlands, Campbell Town, Kempton, Tunbridge and Triabunna. John & Sandra Hay, Diana Langley, Barry Kay, Katrina Carnes and Leigh Blake. and Kylie wishes to sincerely thank everyone's support including the Kempton Festival Committee and the Country music clubs involved in the day at Tunbridge.   Kylie also wishes to thank the 97.1 Midfm presenters for playlisting her songs. 97.1 Midfm is organising further tours with Kylie to Tasmania.
